SIGHTREAD PageWeaver reading a book on a desk at night
SIGHTREAD™ PageWeaver: you sleep, it keeps reading. The device is the front door; the APP and the SIGHTREAD platform are where the value compounds.
Key takeaways
  • One stack, four steps, one loop. PageWeaver reads the book overnight, SIGHTREAD APP turns every page into a page-anchored knowledge key, the S$199-a-year library keeps the owner paying, and the SIGHTREAD platform that already runs products, packaging and shelves carries all of it.
  • Stack capital S$428,054 (PageWeaver Model 17 S$418,054 + S$10,000 stack integration). Payback in month 16 after launch, annualised ROI 128%, 36-month MOIC 3.28x.
  • Five years, base case: S$2.32M cumulative cash, 6.4x MOIC, 6,970 devices in homes, 1,466 library members and a contribution run-rate of S$700,320 a year. At 8x run-rate contribution the stack is worth about S$5.60M, 13 times its capital.
  • The subscription is the multiplier. Each PageWeaver sold earns S$373 of hardware contribution plus S$184 of expected library margin: +49% per household, with no extra hardware.
  • Growth case (Singapore + Japan from year 2): payback month 15, 5.2x in 36 months and 10.8x over five years.
  • Running today: SIGHTREAD APP installs on any phone from a QR code, 7 devices active this week, 17 objects registered (13 products, 4 books), on-device OCR reads Traditional Chinese at 99.76% character accuracy, and SIGHTREAD AI has logged 933 hourly heartbeats.

1. The SIGHTREAD reading stack

PageWeaver is not sold as a gadget. It is the paper entrance to SIGHTREAD: the same system that already makes a product package machine-readable now makes a printed page machine-readable. The hardware earns its own return; the APP and the library turn each device into a recurring account; the platform turns every account into data that serves the rest of the business.

  1. SIGHTREAD PageWeaver on a desk at night① PageWeaver reads

Place a book and sleep. The stand turns its own pages and two fixed cameras capture every spread, checking each turn and retrying a miss.

  2. SIGHTREAD APP icon② SIGHTREAD APP keys it

Every page becomes text on the phone itself (on-device OCR) and the book becomes a SIGHTREAD object with its own ID; answers point back to the page.

  3. SIGHTREAD PageWeaver logo③ The library pays

Each device includes 60 days of the S$199-a-year library: ask across every book you own, store page photos, keep writing in YOU WRITE.

  4. SIGHTREAD mark④ SIGHTREAD scales it

The same identity, packaging engine and AI already serve products, shelves and stores, so every book scanned grows one platform.

The hardware column is Model 17 exactly as the capital engine computes it today. The stack adds one thing: the library members that PageWeaver owners become after the 60 days included with the device. Their margin, S$10.50 a member a month after AI, storage and payment costs, is pure addition because the device and the APP are already paid for.

3. Three scenarios

Scenario Devices Library Payback MOIC 36 mo MOIC 5 yrs Cash 5 yrs Members, M60

4,182 25% keep it · 2.5% leave a month Month 25 1.71x 3.32x S$0.99M 566

Singapore + Japan from year 2
10,642 45% keep it · 1.5% leave a month Month 15 5.16x 10.77x S$4.18M 3,258

Device curves are the three sales curves built into Model 17. Years 4 and 5 hold year 3's monthly rate. Even the conservative case returns the capital 3.3 times over five years.

4. One household

Hardware contribution
S$373
per PageWeaver at S$649, after GST, channel fees, warranty, landed cost, shipping and year-one cloud service
Library margin
S$10.50 / month
per member on the S$199 annual plan, after AI, storage and payment costs
Expected library value
S$184
per device sold, base case (35% keep it, 2% leave a month)
Value per household
S$557
+49% over the hardware alone

On-device OCR is what makes the library profitable: a 300-page book read on the phone or the PageWeaver controller costs nothing in AI, so AI is spent only on hard pages and questions, each billed by use. The research behind these figures puts the monthly library plan at 66% gross margin and the annual plan at 63%.

Scan to install SIGHTREAD APPTry it yourself: scan the code with your phone, point the camera at any product or book page, and the APP identifies it, builds its record and answers questions with the page it came from. The library and YOU WRITE run on the same account, so a book scanned in SIGHTREAD appears in the writer's research shelf without being scanned twice.

6. Capital plan

Gate What it pays for Timing Amount
G0 R&D core, freedom-to-operate search, prototype round 1 months 0–4 S$78,030
G1 Software and AI, OCR test set, prototype rounds 2–3, usability months 4–9 S$64,690
G1+ Stack integration: device pairing, on-device OCR on the controller, library entitlement months 4–9 S$10,000
G2 Verification, safety certification, production tooling months 9–13 S$115,680
G3 First batch of 500 units, launch, working capital months 13–15 S$105,125
Total Model 17 base S$363,525 + 15% reserve S$54,529 + integration S$428,054

Capital is released gate by gate. G0 is released against the page-turn test: 99% success per turn on 70–80 gsm paperback paper. At the model's 99.9% per turn, a 300-page book finishes without a stop 86% of the time, and every miss is caught by the cameras and retried.

7. The next layer: SIGHTREAD platform

Model 02 sizes the full SIGHTREAD platform build at S$2,599,000, and Model 01 sizes the ten-store unmanned retail system it serves at S$7.6M. The reading stack does not need either to pay back, but it feeds both: every book and product scanned is one more object on the same registry, and every PageWeaver owner is one more SIGHTREAD account. Capital in the stack holds the first position on that curve.
